You hardly ever see any super hero standing around a work station making sodas or things. It really doesnt fit into a super hero game. I doubt we will see any major type of crafting. Its certainly had very few advantages but they are not even worth mentioning. I have never enjoyed leveling and using a profession. Apparently a lot of gamers want that wasted time. While I don't think that every MMO must have crafting, I do think they all need fairly deep, diverse gameplay if they are going to keep long-term subscribers. Many people have talked about the lack of crafting in this game. Something like a meaningful, sophisticated secret identity system could provide some much needed depth to this game. Given the way they were phrasing it, they seemed to be saying that it's more than a possibility - unless they are admitting that their game will forever be a poor representation of the DC universe. Cause they did say they would talk more about down the road in months. But I imagine this is going to be an expansion / content addition at some point down the line from the sounds of it. That includes tabletop games, where it can really screw things up when most players have average, somewhat sub-optimal builds and one guy has designed himself to dominate every single combat encounter over all the other players. Minmaxing is a problem anytime you play a game where you're not really trying to "win" so much as to have a good time.
